From Macaroni Angels to Hospital Beds

Sunday January 8, 2012

My macaroni angel artist, son Andrew, was involved in a serious car accident on the way to teach school on Friday morning. If you've visited my Facebook page, you know.

It's clear the Lord was protecting hin that morning. His injuries are quite serious, but not life-threatening. He has had one surgery and faces another this week, possibly more. Rehab will follow. Thank the Lord he young, healthy, and strong.

So much to be thankful for, so much to pray for as I sit here in his hospital room. I can't thank you enough for kind words and prayers. Just keep it up, please!

I'll post as I can. There may be long stretches of nothing to do here, but there are certainly busy times with a steady stream of friends. As I wrote Friday, this too is living and loving, and we're thankful for His presence as we walk through it.

I'm so sorry to hear that! But so glad there is a good prognosis and nothing is life-threatening. It's good that he is nearby as well, if I understand correctly. If it were one of your sons that lived away, that would be harder, to know he was in the hospital yet not be able to be there. Just took a moment to pray.

I know your heart, dear mother. . . .

I was at the bedside of one of my sons in 2002 after a near fatal car wreck . . He is well!

All that was expected never came to pass . . . glory to God for Shane . . . and for Andrew's healing, as we wait together for the good report!

So sorry to hear of Andrew's accident, but so thankful to hear that though serious, not life threatening.

Seeing our children seriously ill is very difficult. But God brings us through...and is always faithful!

Oh Laura, I'm so sorry to be so far behind in reading my favorite blogs! I will definitely be praying for you and Andrew and the rest of the family. Being a mom sure challenges us--in so many ways!!! {hug}
