Resting? In Him?

I have an issue with waiting. I wrote about it earlier this week.

But I’m learning … gradually … that waiting time isn’t wasted time.

My quote today, Fave #5, says it much better than I can.

I’m recounting the week’s blessings today, linking up for Friday’s Fave Five. 

My favorites this week: 

1. Teenagers. I really do love teaching high school. Love those kids.

2. A thank you. I got an email thank you from a student this week, and that doesn’t happen every day. A student wrote sweet things I would not have suspected. Made me smile.

3. The Groves girls. I love my daughters-in-law! They’re just real keepers. If you need to talk (to someone other than a male in my family), you just text and say, “Can you talk?” For years, I’ve had only boys to talk to. This is SO nice.

4. Words and pictures from my international son. My youngest is in Russia, and I’ve seen pictures and gotten texts and emails, and I’m so thankful for that. It’s just GREAT to hear from him.

Yes, I do have an issue with waiting. It seems I feel I must DO something. What am I thinking? That I’d do a better job than the Creator, the One who loves me more than anyone else?

I forget that waiting doesn’t take Him by surprise; it’s part of His plan, and although I can’t see things happening, the time is being used by God.
