A Garden, a Fall, and a Taste of Redemption

Monday February 4, 2013

Earth was formless, empty, full of darkness
As is life without Him.

God hovered over the waters
As He stays, waits, hovers over me.

He brought light to the world
He brings light to life, illumining the dark places.

Our earthly parents were given paradise
But grasped for more, desiring their way.

I'm given abundant life but, all too often,
I grasp for more, for my own way.

They took and ate.
But the verbs of the fall become
Verbs of redemption
As He says in an upper room, "Take. Eat."

I'm linking up with Laura, Michelle, and Jen today.

I've never thought of those connections in quite this way between Adam and Eve being told NOT to eat, yet now we are invited to eat! Beautiful, Laura. Thanks.

I echo Lisa's words--a new epiphany here! This is so lovely, Laura. I love the way your mind works, friend.

Hi Laura Lee
I am a first timer at Laura's link-up, but your words makes me want to put the pen down! Excellent. You have said so much with so little words.
Much love
Mia

Wow -- I never thought about how God transforms those words. Powerful.
