Looking Forward to a Day of Love

Monday February 14, 2011

It's Valentine's Day, and I'm looking forward to a day of love.

The valentine cards and boxes of cookies are sent. Calls will be made, cards opened, flowers received. My high school students will be on a sugar high all day. Candy will be passed around surreptitiously, roses will show up on desks.

And I'll come home to my honey.

I love going out for Valentine's Day. For some reason, it just feels special -- kind of like an extra anniversary.

I won't have to cook or clean up...and I hope to get my grading done before he gets home, if I can.

In honor of the day, you should take a look at this video of a sweet, sweet song. I love it!

I'm looking forward to a day of love. How about you?

We went out to dinner on Saturday, and I made my family our Valentine's dinner yesterday -- always Italian food! Today we have doctor and dentist appointments, so it will be kinda busy.

Happy <3 day!

Yes, Valentines makes me all squishy inside :). Hubs and I went out for dinner last night and this morning I had some beautiful flowers waiting for me on the table. Last night I asked my man, "What's your favorite romantic date?" He described our very first date to a tee. I love that man. Happy Valentines, Laura!

Wish you'd written the book 15 years ago when we were raising our lads! But I guess we survived.

Hope you had a great day! :) We've had so much sickness in our house, we're all exhausted, so we exchanged cards and that was about it. Hoping to get a belated V-Day date in this weekend. ;)
